CDC Offers Additional RealOpt©, Web-based Training Sessions

Jul 01, 2019 | Michelle Shapiro

Additional training dates of the virtual instructor-led RealOpt© class on vaccination and point-of dispensing (POD) sites are now available. This training leads participants through the components of RealOpt©, a computer modeling program that determines staff requirements and examines process efficiencies, based on site-specific configurations. With this tool, students will learn to manipulate existing POD and vaccine flow models, and run and interpret the performance reports that RealOpt© generates. At the end of the approximately 3-hour sessions, participants will have discovered how to build or modify their own models to identify staff needed, where best to allocate them, and how to eliminate bottlenecks and optimize processing times.

DSLR encourages POD managers, local and state MCM planners, and other preparedness staff to take advantage of this training opportunity by registering for one of the available dates through CDC Train.
