Resources to Promote Radon Awareness Week

Jan 08, 2026 | Beth Hess

Radon Awareness Week, January 26-30, 2026, sheds light on the dangers of radon, the second leading cause of lung cancer deaths in the United States after cigarette smoking.

CDC’s Radon website has stories, videos, social media messages, graphics, an activity book, and other resources that local health departments can use to raise awareness locally. The Radon Awareness Week webpage includes a theme focus on each day of the week and there are sample social media messages for each topic.
