A variety of resources are available to help local health departments prepare community members for winter weather conditions.
As part of its #WinterReady campaign, Ready.gov has toolkits and social media graphics available to help communities understand the risks of winter weather and to take steps to prepare.
Resources include:
- A partner toolkit with resources to help organizations share winter safety messages with communities and partners.
- A social media toolkit with sample posts and images to help share winter preparedness messages on social media.
- Downloadable safety graphics about winter storms, extreme cold, and safety tips.
- Tips for specific needs: older adults, work or play outside, and for those who don’t typically experience winter weather.
