CDC’s Operational Readiness Review (ORR) online data collection system has undergone a recent update that allows users to download templates to complete two forms offline. Currently available in the system for download are the receive, stage, and store (RSS) site survey and point of dispensing forms. The templates allow recipients to enter data on the forms and upload the completed form into the ORR system. In addition, the ORR system now offers printing functionality. Additional templates for the remaining ORR offline forms are currently under development.
The ORR is a rigorous, evidence-based assessment that evaluates state, local, and territorial planning and operational functions. Currently, the ORR primarily focuses on evaluating a jurisdiction’s ability to execute a large response requiring medical countermeasure (MCM) distribution and dispensing. The intended outcome of this assessment is to identify strengths and challenges facing preparedness programs across the nation and to identify opportunities for improvement and further technical support.
