Webinar: Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Pediatric Vaccine for Children Under 5 & Bivalent Booster for 12+

Sep 14, 2022 | Beth Hess

NACCHO invites local health department leadership and staff to participate in a webinar, “Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Pediatric Vaccine for Children Under 5 & Bivalent Booster for 12+,” on Thursday, September 22, 3:00-4:00 PM ET.

Since the pandemic began, more than 14.4 million children have tested positive for COVID-19 in the U.S., with children under 4 accounting for more than 2.9 million of those cases. Reported COVID-19 cases and related hospitalization among children have spiked dramatically across the United States during the Omicron variant surge. In June 2022, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine became the first vaccine available to help protect children under 5 years of age from this disease, potentially including future emerging variants of concern.

Join NACCHO on September 22 to receive information regarding guidelines and recommendations for pediatric COVID-19 vaccine for children under 5. Representatives from Pfizer will join to provide information on product packaging, shipping and storage, preparation, administration, adverse event reporting, and resources specific to the pediatric vaccine for children under 5. They will also briefly discuss and respond to questions on the COVID-19 bivalent booster vaccine, which is now available under FDA EUA.
