On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, NACCHO and partners hosted a practical webinar for local health departments on radiation incident recovery and response. This session explored the role of public health in recovery, how bioassay supports exposure assessment, and how laboratory systems and national partners, like the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), provide critical support during a response. Participants learned about available tools, including CRC resource planning and other preparedness resources, to strengthen local capabilities for high impact, low probability incidents.
