NACCHO, in partnership with the CDC, has compiled resources to enhance the capacity of local health department staff to address unique needs in a range of high-risk facility types.
This year's theme for World Hand Hygiene Day on May 5 is focused on recognizing that we can add to a facility's climate or culture of safety and quality through cleaning our hands but also that a strong quality and safety culture will encourage people to clean hands at the right times and with the right products.
NACCHO will award up to $60,000 for a consultant, or consulting firm, to assist NACCHO with conducting a workforce assessment to evaluate LHD staff capacity related to healthcare-associated infections (HAI) and antimicrobial resistance (AR). The selected consultant will create assessment tools, conduct data collection and analysis, and develop a final report with results.
