NACCHO is pleased to provide funding for the Identifying Care Gaps: Conducting Community Assessments to Improve the Chest/Breastfeeding Landscape in Historically Oppressed Communities project.
NACCHO will fund up to 4 local health departments (LHDs) up to $100,000 each to implement pharyngeal gonorrhea test of cure. This implementation will provide essential information about the feasibility of implementing TOC for all pharyngeal gonorrhea cases in clinical practice.
LHDs lead a coordinated response to the syndemic of hepatitis, HIV and other STIs, and substance use at the local level, but limited funding, staffing challenges, and the COVID-19 pandemic impact LHDs’ ability to prevent and ultimately eliminate viral hepatitis.
This Notice of Funding Opportunity (HRSA-21-092) will invest approximately $83 million in health centers located in the 57 geographic locations identified by the EHE initiative, with the goal of increasing the number of health centers in the geographic locations that are focused on HIV prevention.
