National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW) is observed yearly the last week of April. This week serves as a great reminder of the importance of continuing to educate and encourage routine vaccinations, especially for vulnerable infants.
Although the emergent time of the COVID-19 pandemic has passed, the work in BIPOC communities continues due to the low vaccination rates and continued health disparities. It will take time to clear the lens to have equity for all.
