May is Hepatitis Awareness Month, an opportunity to raise awareness about and recognize the impact of viral hepatitis in the United States.
COVID-19 has had a profound impact on our society beyond the physical toll on those infected with the virus. It has also caused restriction of resources for non-COVID conditions, economic upheaval, and interrupted care on chronic conditions.
WHO recommended that the dapivirine vaginal ring (DPV-VR) may be offered as an additional prevention choice for women at substantial risk of HIV infection as part of combination prevention approaches.
As part of the National Association of County and City Health Officials’ (NACCHO’s) work to support and serve 3,000 local health departments (LHDs) in the United States, NACCHO has been releasing a bi-weekly blog consisting of an up-to-date collection of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) resources for our members working at the intersection of environmental health and COVID-19.
