On January 7, 2021, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released Viral Hepatitis National Strategic Plan for the United States: A Roadmap to Elimination (2021—2025) (“the Hepatitis Plan”), which provides a framework for the elimination of viral hepatitis in the United States.
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), in partnership with the University of Washington (UW), is recruiting syringe services programs (SSPs), local health departments (LHDs), and other harm reduction stakeholders to participate in the SSP Monitoring & Evaluation Advisory Group (SSPAG).
A new technical assistance resource is available for SSPs to help guide effective planning and implementation and to identify opportunities for program enhancement.
