NACCHO is seeking a qualified consultant to conduct a series of activities aimed at better understanding and amplifying the needs, available resources, challenges, strategies, and stories of rural Local Health Departments (LHDs) and their communities related to overdose prevention and response.
NACCHO joined more than 100 other organizations representing public health, healthcare, research, social services, and other sectors, and released a letter to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee opposing a committee proposal to cut $980 million from the Prevention & Public Health Fund (“the Prevention Fund”) to pay for other health legislation.
NACCHO is seeking a qualified consultant to compile a sample of key plans that local health departments develop to guide their organizational strategies and activities.
If there's something strange in your neighborhood, you call the Ghostbusters. But who do you call when there is flooding? A super hot day? A power outage? It quickly becomes less obvious, especially if English isn't your first language.
San Juan Basin Public Health's conclusions demonstrate the importance of holistic climate planning that takes seriously the impacts of climate change to the entire public health system.
