This is an excellent resource for those LHDs with more advanced-level experience with quality improvement (QI) that are ready to infuse a culture of QI within the agency. The Walla Walla County Health Department in Washington published this 3-page planning and procedures manual in 2005 to establish a QI strategy to improve service delivery and program quality within the health department. Included are policies around: strategic planning; writing SMART objectives; and program evaluation.
