As part of a quality improvement (QI) project, the Bethlehem Health Bureau (BHB) identified data collection, processing, and maintenance as areas for improvement. By using QI techniques ( Fishbone Diagram, Process Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis), the Bureau developed and piloted a quality improvement process, and, based on recommendations, implemented a modified process for data collection, processing, and maintenance throughout the Bureau. As a result, BHB now has a consistent, accurate process to collect data.
