Washoe County District Health Department's "Positive Choices, Positive Futures" Program
The "Positive Choices, Positive Futures" Program targets parents of adolescents to address the issue of adolescent sexual risk taking, including adolescent STI/ HIV and teen pregnancy. The program has three goals: improve parent-child communication about sexual risk taking and protection from STIs and HIV; decrease STI and HIV rates among high0risk adolescents in Washoe County; and increase the capacity of four Youth Sports Organizations in Washoe County.
