Register now to join an interactive workshop at the Preparedness Summit on Thursday, May 1, 8:00 – 11:30 AM. This session will feature an interactive tabletop exercise for local health departments to come together and brainstorm, problem-solve, and prepare for a chemical incident. Attendees will hear about real-world scenarios, collaborate with local health department leaders, and learn about the newly published Chemical Preparedness Handbook.

About the exercise: It’s 8:30 AM on a busy weekday, and a chemical tanker truck suddenly overturns on a major highway interchange in the heart of a bustling downtown area. Hazardous chemicals are being transported in that train. Is your local health department ready to respond to the crisis? Do you know what role you play in the response?

If you’re unsure or answered no to any of these questions, don’t miss this must-attend event. Join NACCHO on May 1 at 8:00 AM for an interactive tabletop exercise that will bring together local health departments of all backgrounds to brainstorm, problem-solve, and prepare for a chemical incident. In this workshop, you’ll dive deep into real-world scenarios, collaborate with local health department leaders, and discover the newly published Chemical Preparedness Handbook. Don’t miss out. Register now and get ready to strengthen your preparedness.
