NACCHO Environmental Health Program's Year in Review for 2025

NACCHO’s Environmental Health (EH) team develops timely content that informs and empowers local health departments (LHDs) to improve health in communities. Here’s a quick rundown of what the team achieved in 2025!

Through December 2025, our team:

  • Administered 53 invoices in service of LHDs worth $707K+.
  • Distributed 64 travel scholarships totaling $65,000+ to LHDs across 17 months.
  • Conducted 38 workshops, webinars, sharing sessions, presentations, site visits, and technical assistance programs nationwide.
  • Facilitated 29 workgroup meetings involving 49 members and subject matter experts across four portfolios through July 2025.
  • Secured registrations for 1,323 people for various EH webinars averaging an attendance rate of 65%.
  • Reached 80,107 NACCHO members with timely environmental public health updates through 15 community forums.
  • Disseminated 49 tools, resources, and publications, the most popular of which are featured in our latest blog post here.
  • Exposed 864M+ readers to NACCHO’s press coverage covering important EH issues.
  • Experienced a 42% above-industry-average open rate across EH e-newsletters sent to 21,000 subscribers.
  • Recorded 9,721 audience views of NACCHO’s EH webpages with 13,795 visits of EH blogs including stories from the field.
  • Informed 77,213 followers about relevant EH news and resources on social media, while recording a15% increase in followers from CY2024.
