Mosquito and Tick Control
- In response to a fall nationwide increase in emergency department visits from tick bites, NACCHO released a blog for health departments containing practical information to share with communities, as well as tools that LHDs can use as part of tick control and prevention efforts. naccho.org/blog/articles/tick-control-resources
- In 2024, Puerto Rico declared a public health emergency for dengue, a viral disease spread to people through mosquito bites.
