To celebrate Preparedness Month, NACCHO is highlighting Jefferson County Public Health's collaborations between maternal and child health and emergency preparedness programs.
Washington, DC, July 19, 2022 — Local health department leaders, public health partners, and invited guests will convene at the 2022 National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) Annual Conference, the largest gathering of local health officials and health department staff in the United States, July 19-21 in Atlanta, Georgia.
NACCHO, with support from CDC’s Division of Reproductive Health, launched a project to increase collaboration between maternal child health and emergency preparedness response programs within local health departments with the goal of improving the lives of pregnant people, new parents, and their infants.
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), representing the country’s nearly 3,000 local health departments, has elected Michael Kilkenny, MD, CEO and Health Officer of the Cabell-Huntington Health Department in Huntington, WV, Vice-President of its Board of Directors’ 2022-2023 term.
