Ms. Gantner has over 40 years of experience in various nursing arenas. She has been employed in emergency department and inpatient hospital nursing, disability case management, home health care and outpatient services. Her management experience includes charge nurse and shift supervisor duties, and she served as the Director of Emergency and Outpatient Services for 7 years at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She has served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross in blood bank services. She has also served as an active member of the Columbus Organization of Trauma Services and of the Columbus Metropolitan Medical Response Team. Since 2002 she has been employed at Columbus Public Health (CPH) where her primary role has been in communicable disease investigation and surveillance. She currently supervises the registered nurses who investigate infectious disease and outbreaks. Ms. Gantner was the Case Investigation Workgroup Leader on the CPH Shigella Taskforce.
