On this week’s podcast, the National Association of County and City Health Officials’ Government Affairs team members Adriane Casalotti, Chief of Government and Public Affairs, and Lauren Mastroberardino, Government Affairs Senior Specialist, provided an update on the appropriations process, discussing major differences between both bills and the outlook for fall.
On July 27, the Senate Appropriations Committee considered the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS) spending bill, which passed out of committee on a bipartisan vote of 26-2.
