Local health departments and their community partners have been the driving force behind the IOPSLL program as their teams work diligently to prevent overdoses and advance the health and safety of people who use drugs in their community every day. NACCHO is proud to share the ways in which these local health departments have utilized their IOPSLL funding to prevent and respond to overdose.
With support from the CDC, NACCHO is seeking a consultant to develop and disseminate effective and research informed messaging through a national anti-stigma campaign that amplifies the humanity, stories and strengths of people who use drugs to promote a narrative of support, opportunity, and shared community.
NACCHO spoke with two LHDs, the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH), to learn how each LHD has taken a One Health approach to tackling AMR in their community.
NACCHO is seeking a consultant to review and summarize evaluation data, communication products, and other outputs from the past five years of NACCHO’s HAI/AR-related demonstration site projects.
